Lead Teacher

Shana spent 10 years using her creativity as a graphic designer while simultaneously working with children in her free time. Her love of children led her to make a career move. After relocating to Colorado in 2012 from Manhattan, KS, Shana went back to school to pursue a career in Early Childhood Education. In her 10 plus years working with children, she has had the amazing opportunity to work with kids through foster/adoptive care, afterschool, gymnastics, dance and preschool programs. She taught pre-K and 2 1/2s for two years prior to joining Arts and Imagination Preschool.

One of her proudest moments was traveling to Chiang Rai, Thailand, to work with hilltribe children. The kids taught her about a culture filled with generosity, kindness and hardwork. She couldn't believe how resilient the children are and how they embrace the little things in life as much as they do considering the circumstances they came from. She has enjoyed watching the kids thrive in a home filled with love and support for the past five years.

Shana believes there's nothing more rewarding than helping a child learn life skills and truly love going to school. It's a teacher's responsibility and privilege to nourish their spirits with healthy information, laughter and love. She is thrilled to be a part of the team at Arts and Imagination Preschool and looks forward to getting to know her kids and their families.
