Lead TEACHER

Hello! My name is Kathryn and I am so excited to be a part of the Arts and Imagination community! I was raised in a small town in Kansas, but I have lived in Fort Collins since 2012. I graduated from Kansas State University with a degree in Family Studies and Human services with an emphasis in Early Childhood Education, and I currently hold my Director’s Letter for the State of Colorado. I've worked in early childhood for about seven years.

My favorite thing about working with young children is how excited they all are to learn! I believe that every child has their own unique intelligence, and that it is my job as a teacher to help facilitate their learning to help them grow into the best version of themselves. I love singing, reading, creating, and learning with the children in the classroom. In my spare time I enjoy spending time outdoors, going to concerts, playing games, and crafting. I'm really looking forward to meeting all of you!

“Play is often talked about as if it were a relief from serious learning. But for children play is serious learning. Play is really the work of childhood.”
— Fred Rogers
