Our task is to help children communicate with the world using their potential, strengths, and languages, and to overcome any obstacle presented by our culture.

Lead Teacher

Hi! My name is Sarah, I have been working in Early Childhood over the last 9 years as a teacher. I became interest in becoming a teacher while I was teaching swim lessons to children ages 2 to 5. After, I started going to school for a degree in Early Childhood Education and began working in a classroom. My first few years of teach I worked with children ages 2 – 8 years at a couple different programs. During these early years, I discovered Reggio Emilia philosophy and fell in love with working with young children around the ages of 2 to 4 years. The last 6 year I have been working in a Reggio Emilia program as a lead teacher in the toddler class. Throughout the years I have been going to various trainings to develop my skills as an educator. I enjoy the everyday experiences and challenges when it comes to working with children.

Teaching Philosophy:

I believe in creating an environment for children where they have opportunities to be creative, explore, and discover the world around them. At the same time providing a safe environment for children to form their own personality during early years of development and express their ideas through one of many symbolic languages, including drawing, sculpture, and dramatic play.
